Rug Pads for Laminate Floors

Laminate is a printed wear layer over a board core. It is tough, but the surface is slick, so rugs slide on it more than almost any other floor — and because the wear layer is thin, you want a pad that grips without abrading.

Which pad should I use on laminate?

Superior is the default choice. 0.160″ thick, 30 oz per square yard, recycled felt over a tan rubber grip back. Enough grip to stop the sliding, enough body to keep the rug lying flat.

Premium if you want more cushion. At 0.25″ and 38 oz it is our thickest, which helps if the laminate is over a concrete subfloor and feels unforgiving.

All-Purpose if you need it thin. 0.10″, our lowest profile, for doorways and tight clearances. Fiber side up on laminate.
